This quote was one of my father’s favorites. We lost count of the number of times he found to use it in a Sunday sermon.
There are days I recognize how jaded I’ve become; how I no longer see the world through innocent eyes that believe everything will be okay. When I realize what has happened, I take a step back. Fear will not own or control me and I am not the one in control of what happens in the world. The only thing I have any daily impact on is my response. I choose love.
Love wins.
When I doubt that, fear creeps in and so I return to that simple fact.
Love wins. Always.
